We recently closed a deal where we integrated a seller rent-back option as part of the negotiation. The seller needed a bit more time to settle into her new housing situation, while the buyer had an exciting month-long vacation planned right after closing. As an added perk for the buyer, we were able to negotiate a 2-1 interest rate buy down on this transaction, securing the buyer a lower interest rate for the next couple years.
