For the first time in a long time I don’t have a Buyer for this perfectly preserved specimen of 1954. It takes a home this rad for me to come out of retirement of home thirst trap posting unless it’s been for a new listing. If you bought this house we could stroll down Willamette Blvd and talk about restoring old homes, different paint colors, and talk goss about all the new trade folks I’ve been working with that are amazing. The early spring market is just starting to get spicy - this 1912 Portland Craftsman was listed for $765,000 and managed to garner 5 offers its first weekend on the market, which isn’t a shock considering it was probably one of the best examples of good bones for this era of house I had ever seen. It had the perfect mix of original charm, meticulous millwork, and dated albeit livable finishes making it the perfect opportunity to add equity with cosmetic improvements! Its layout was flawless with lots of natural light with the E/W facing axis…I guess it was really my first true house crush of 2026, and I’m not upset about it. The layout upstairs was ripe for a primary bath and I was in full on contractor mode reworking it to also have a 1/2 bath, which would have been so easy with this home. Ok, you get it. I dig it. Tell me your likes and gripes.
