You know you’re a Portland local when... 👀

The kind of stuff that only makes sense if you’ve spent real time around here. The little quirks, the unspoken rules, the things you’ve stopped noticing because they’re just part of life now.

Tag the local who’d get every single one of these and let me know which one hits hardest in the comments. 👇

A little peek at summer in Portland. ☀️

Last night was First Thursday, and it felt like the city officially woke up. People were spilling out onto sidewalks, galleries were packed, patios were full, and everywhere you looked there was something happening. It was one of those nights that reminds you why so many people fall in love with this place.

And honestly, we’re just getting started.

The next few months are my favorite time of year here. Not just because the weather is beautiful, but because there is SO much to do. Farmers markets, neighborhood festivals, outdoor concerts, patio dinners, movies in the park, hikes, river days, sunset walks, weekend road trips, and a hundred random things you’ll stumble into along the way.

You could fill every single weekend from now until September and still not do it all.

What I love most, though, is the feeling of it. The city feels lighter. People stay out longer. Neighbors talk more. Everyone seems a little happier. Portland becomes the kind of place that makes you want to put your phone away, stay outside, and squeeze every bit out of a long summer evening.

There’s so much joy to be had over the next few months, and I personally cannot wait.

If you’re thinking about making a move to Portland, this is the season that convinces a lot of people to stay.

Comment SUMMER and I’ll send you my free 2026 Summer Guide with all my favorite spots, events, and weekend plans for the season.

What’s your favorite thing about Portland Summers??

If you’re new to Portland (or honestly even if you’re not), these next three months matter more than you think.

Summer is when this city makes its case. It’s when the patios fill up, the neighborhood events come alive, the mountains show off, and you remember why people put up with nine months of gray skies.

The people who fall in love with Portland usually don’t do it in February. They do it right now. So start strong.

I rounded up the June events worth showing up for, a couple of my favorite spots, and a summer bucket list that’ll help you make the most of the season.

Where I’d live in Portland depends entirely on the era I’m in. 😅

The “my dog is my entire personality” era? One neighborhood. The “I need to walk everywhere” era? Different neighborhood. The “I’ve suddenly become obsessed with gardening” era? Different neighborhood.

The funny thing about Portland is that there isn’t one best place to live. There are just different neighborhoods that fit different versions of you.

And if you’ve lived here long enough, you’ve probably had at least three of these eras already.

Comment GUIDE and I’ll send you my free Relocation Guide so you can figure out which Portland neighborhood matches your current personality.

Happy Tuesday ✌🏼☀️

There’s a reason spring and early summer are often great times to sell a home in Portland. 👀

A lot of buyers—especially families—want to be settled before school starts in the fall. Which means many of the most motivated buyers are already shopping. They’re pre-approved, touring homes on weekends, and ready to make decisions.

And I think that’s really helpful information to know. In fact, I think part of my job is giving you all the data, all the context, and helping you understand what’s happening in the market so you can make informed decisions.

But here’s where I differ from a lot of agents: I don’t think your entire selling strategy should revolve around trying to perfectly time the market. The best time to sell is when it makes sense for you. Maybe that’s June. Maybe it’s September. Maybe it’s six months from now.

I’d rather help you create a plan that works with your life, your goals, your family, and your timeline than rush you into listing because a chart says it’s the “best” month.

What I do know is that preparation matters. A home that’s properly prepped, priced, marketed, and staged will usually outperform one that was rushed to market chasing some perfect date on the calendar.

So yes, buyers are active right now. That’s useful information. My job is to know that information, share it with you, and help you use it. Your job is to decide what’s best for your life.

And then we’ll build the plan around that.

Shoot me a DM, send me an email, or schedule a time to chat through the link in my bio. No sales pitch. No pressure. Just a conversation about your goals, your timeline, and what would make the most sense for you.

Happy Saturday ✌🏼☀️

The best things to do this summer in Portland, Oregon ☀️

I’ve realized something lately: you don’t fall in love with a city by sitting at home talking about it.

You do it by trying the patio. Taking the sunset walk. Going to the event. Ordering the dessert. Exploring the neighborhood you’ve never spent time in.

This list is full of the places, experiences, and little summer traditions that make Portland feel like Portland.

I dare you to see how many you can cross off before Labor Day.

Comment SUMMER and I’ll send you my free Portland Summer Guide with even more local recs, events, and weekend plans.

I’ve always been the one trying to hold everything together.

But somewhere along the way, it turned into the three of us holding it together for each other.

A weird little unit that somehow works.

Car rides with all the windows down.
Basketball in the driveway before it gets dark.
Getting roasted by my own kids on a daily basis.
The dog always in the middle of everything.

It’s loud, messy, chaotic, and honestly my favorite part of life.

Most of you only really see the work side of me. The realtor side. But this is the part I’m actually most proud of.

You know you grew up in Portland if at least a few of these instantly unlocked a memory for you 😊

These are the places woven into childhood here. The field trips, the rainy weekend traditions, the summer nights, the places your parents took you that you didn’t fully appreciate until you got older and realized how special this city actually was.

Some of these places are gone now. Some are still exactly the same. But if you grew up here, they’re all still part of your story somehow.

How many have you been to? Tell me in the comments 👇🏽

And if you want even more reasons to fall in love with Portland this summer, I’ve got you.

Comment SUMMER and I’ll send you my free 2026 Portland Summer Guide with all my favorite local spots, events, and weekend plans.

ChatGPT is officially on my sh*t list… it called Realtors ‘project managers.’ 🙃

Listen, I love a good checklist as much as the next person, but if that’s all this job was, a bot could do it.

Buying or selling a home is not just tasks and timelines—it’s strategy, negotiation, and guiding families through life-changing moves. Plus it’s a lot of acting like a therapist. That’s not project management. That’s advising.

Do I coordinate and get sh*t done? Of course. But don’t hire me for that…SMH.

Happy Saturday ✌🏼☀️
