Hey friends! 🏡🌲 Oregon real estate check-in, because I know a few of you have asked me about this lately...
Real talk, if you're waiting for this market to "crash" so you can snag a killer deal, it's probably not happening. But if you're waiting for the crazy 2021 bidding-war chaos to come back either... also not happening. We landed somewhere in the middle, and honestly? That's actually a good thing for most people.
Here's the quick version of what's going on (pic below with the numbers).
📍 Where you live matters A LOT. Portland, Salem, Bend, your specific neighborhood, they're all telling different stories right now. Don't trust the "statewide average" headlines.
💸 Rates are still the big factor. If you're thinking about buying, get pre-approved before you start falling in love with houses on Zillow at midnight 😅
🌊 People are still moving here. Jobs, mountains, the coast, that Oregon life demand hasn't slowed down much even with a bit more inventory out there.
Bottom line: it's not a scary market, it's just a "know what you're doing" market.
If you had to guess... is your home worth more or less than last year? Comment your city and I'll give you my honest take 👇 (no sales pitch, promise, just happy to chat!)
