Calling all Westside networkers! 🚀

Big Rocks’ very own founder and CEO, Whitney Zeigler, has teamed up with Bryn Peterson of Edward Jones and Rayne Schwantes (Membership and Program Manager extraordinaire at ORPIB) to bring a brand-new networking event right to your neck of the woods.

For those who haven't met them yet, ORPIB is the LGBTQ+ chamber of commerce for Oregon and SW Washington, championing q***r businesses and community every step of the way.

Come hang with us for the inaugural meetup on October 21—we’d love to see you there!

This is a tough one... Travel, by its very nature, wastes precious resources. Air travel causes significant carbon emissions, as does the tourism industry. Tourism can have a negative impact on a destination’s fragile environment. But… who wants to sit at home? And who has the luxury of skipping work trips?

Read our October blog to discover practical eco-friendly travel tips and learn how we can all minimize our environmental footprint when traveling, and how to pack a sustainable suitcase! Link to this month, and all our blogs, at the link in our bio.

You’ve probably heard about “fast fashion”—the fashion industry’s practice of churning out masses of poorly produced, cheap synthetic clothing using offshore manufacturing and underpaid labor.

The prices are so low that people buy, buy, buy! And the quality is so low that very soon the clothes become trash, trash, trash! And the cycle repeats.

The question is, how can we stay stylish without contributing to one of the world’s biggest causes of pollution?

Check out our September blog to get some inspiration!

At Big Rocks Organizing, sustainability goes hand in hand with everything we do. Organizing isn’t just about putting things in their proper places—it’s also about reducing waste, rethinking our consumption habits, and making environmentally-conscious choices that promote a greener future. With those goals in mind, we've put together a free recycling guide that anyone and everyone can access via out website! Our newly updated 12-page Portland-area Recycling Guide is available for free download! We hope this resource helps, and happy recycling!
