Relapses often occur when life is going well because overconfidence can lead people to let their guard down during recovery.

Lasko Refuge stands out by replacing rigid meeting mandates with a single required weekly house meeting that fosters real community and connection.

Handling relapses in sober living depends on severity, ranging from supportive discussions for minor slips to immediate emergency response and Narcan for life-threatening situations.

Get moving. Get stronger. Build the routine.

Some of our best house managers come from within our own houses.

They already understand the culture, philosophy, expectations, and challenges of recovery housing. They’ve earned trust with their housemates, have lived experience, and we’ve had the chance to see their leadership firsthand.

A felony conviction or difficult past shouldn’t automatically disqualify someone from opportunity. Recovery housing should create pathways forward and sometimes the best person for the job is already under your roof.

Availability shouldn’t determine someone’s pathway to recovery.

12-step programs have helped millions of people, and they should absolutely be available to anyone who wants them. But they’re one pathway, not the only pathway.

Recovery housing should be about creating a safe, stable environment where people can build a life in recovery, while giving them the freedom to find the support system that actually works for them.

Motivation over compliance. Recovery isn’t one-size-fits-all.
