Snow is predicted this week so here are a few tips to help make this week a bit easier for everyone.

1. If you’re going to be away for any length of time, do not turn off your heat! Pipes can freeze and cause a lot of damage. Keep thermometer set at 60 with cabinet doors under the sinks open to keep air flow.

2. Know where your water shut off is at.

3. Please understand that our maintence staff will do their best to get to you in a timely way but snow conditions will add time to their commute.

4. If PBOT/ODOT advise to stay home our maintence staff will not be traveling.

If you have scheduled maintenance during this time, this closure most likely impact traffic causing our maintenance department to be late. Thank you for your patience!

All lanes of I-5 will close in both directions between Terwilliger and the Capitol Highway exit from Friday night through Monday morning.

Air quality in Multnomah county and the surrounding areas are bad because of the California fires. Currently there is a burn ban. The link below has more information.

From October 1 to March 1, it is illegal to use wood stoves or fireplaces in the fall and winter on days when poor air quality is forecast.

The next few days will be in the 80’s! Please remember, if you have small children keep those windows closed unless you have a window guard. Even though many newer windows have safety features to deter kids from opening windows, they are not 100% fool proof. Window guards will be a second line of defense from your child falling out.
