The Broadmoor Manor was built and designed in 1948 by the renowned Oregon native architect, Rosco De Leur Hemenway who designed over three hundred buildings in his time. The Broadmoor Manor is an example of the Colonial Revival fashion and demonstrates Hemenway's careful consideration integrating structure and landscape. His attention to detail is displayed in the unique trellises at the townhouse entries and stately copper cupolas that we have restored. These colonial style garden apartment options are spacious and each loaded with so many merits that it is hard to choose a favorite! One bedroom apartment choices range from large upper level flats with rows of windows, first floor apartments with seated bay windows or the lovely single level cottages with front and back patios perfect for bistro seating. The two bedroom, one bath townhomes are generously sized at over 900 square feet with a wood burning fireplace. During our renovation some kitchens may feature such niceties as new quartz countertops with custom cut slate porcelain backsplash, new stainless steel appliance package with dishwashers in selected homes. Baths are outfitted with ceramic tile surrounds, hand laid tile bathroom flooring, quartz vanities and pedestal sinks in selected homes and linen closets. We have restored the original 1948 hardwood floors, outside clothing lines, cabinetry and crown molding for the perfect blend of high end finishes with vintage charm that you will find nowhere else. Each apartment is not just a place to live, it is a home! Located in the Raleigh Hills area of Southwest Portland, Broadmoor Manor is convenient to restaurants, shopping, including New Seasons, the Raleigh Park and Swim Center, Fred Meyer, Target, Tri-met transportation with park & ride and OHSU Express and several schools. Accessing HWY's 26 to downtown Portland & ocean beaches or 217 to Tigard is just a matter of a few minutes’ drive. If you will be bringing a family pet we welcome both cats and dogs with an additional $100 security deposit at a 3 pet max. Breed Restrictions do apply for Doberman Pinschers, Rottweiler’s, Pit Bulls, Staffordshire Terriers or pets with aggressive tendencies or history. A minimum $100,000 proof of renter’s insurance coverage is required with your pet. And we just recently constructed a new outside pet washing station and 2 laundry rooms with brand new card accepting machines that text you when your laundry is done! Every home comes with reserved parking and storage. Utilities are not included in the rent. Electric and central gas heating is separate. Water, garbage, sewer and hot water is an additional flat rate of $85 for a 1 bedroom and $105 for a two bedroom townhome. The deposit on these homes is minimum of $500 and the application fee is $40 per applicant. One reserved parking space and outside basement storage is included with the rent. An additional reserved parking space is available for $45. All other parking is located on the street.
