After a really long, stressful week that ended with heavy disappointment, I challenged myself to do something new with time off from work.

I follow
They are local here in Scappoose and close to our home.
They make kayaking, canoeing or paddle boarding look fun and inviting.

I told myself I could not go kayak without knowing much about it. Well, I have news for you, I was wrong. I went Saturday for an hour with my brother and LOVED it! We have paddle boards but to me those are for hot summer days not early spring days.

Sunday there was event with and I was able to pull Danny away from the yard chores to go with my brother and I. An hour was not enough. The kayaks were easy to navigate. I felt supported and safe in the kayak and the time I had with these two was exactly what I needed.

I share this because I know so many people don’t try things because it can be uncomfortable. I really encourage you to push it. Do the thing, you maybe pleasantly surprised.
