Buying a home is exciting… but let’s be real, it can also be exhausting. 🏡

You scroll through listings, rearrange your day for showings, walk into homes that looked way better online 😆 and then finally find one you love — only to start questioning everything.

Are we paying too much?
What if something better comes along?
What if we lose this one?

Here’s what I always want my buyers to know: you don’t have to make a decision out of fear.

My job isn’t to convince you to buy a house. It’s to give you good information, point out things you may not notice, talk through the risks, look at the numbers and help you make a decision you feel good about.

Sometimes we write the offer.
Sometimes we walk away.
Sometimes we keep looking.

And sometimes… you open a door and can already picture yourself coming home. ❤️

Sometimes the hardest part of selling a home is the waiting.

You clean it.
You leave for showings.
You hear, “They loved it!”
And then… nothing.

After a while, it’s hard not to wonder what’s wrong.

Usually, nothing is “wrong.”

Buyers are making decisions based on price, condition, location, timing, interest rates — and every other home they’ve seen that week.

My job isn’t to tell you what you want to hear.

It’s to pay attention to what the market is telling us, explain it honestly, and help you decide what we do next.

Sometimes we adjust. Sometimes we wait.
And sometimes, all it takes is the right buyer walking through the door.

Office meeting, but make it a field trip. 😍🏡

We had an office meeting at 1314 SE 55th in Portland today and this is one of those houses where I kept finding myself saying, “Okay…THIS is cool, and so Portland!”

The woodwork. The built-ins. The original details. The crystal doorknobs. The windows. The character around every corner.

And then there’s the PHONE. ☎️😂

I see a lot of houses, and while I appreciate a beautifully renovated home, there is just something about walking into an older Portland home where the character hasn’t been stripped away.

These are the details you simply can’t recreate in quite the same way.

Also, this is one of the reasons I love going to support other brokers-even when I’m not there with a specific buyer. I’m constantly looking at inventory, seeing what different neighborhoods have to offer, and keeping homes in the back of my mind for the next person who tells me what they’re looking for.

This one was a beauty. 💙

This one means a little more.

Getting it ready for the market and representing my great aunt’s estate has been both personal and an honor.

We put a lot of care into preparing this home before it hit the market, and just days after going live, we found buyers who saw what we already knew this home has been incredibly well loved and cared for over the years.

Now 10515 SE Malden St is officially PENDING! 🎉

There are still steps ahead before we reach the closing table, but I’m incredibly happy to see this home moving toward its next chapter and a new family who will get to make their own memories here.

My “farm area” is apparently… the Portland Metro. 😂🏡

I’m often asked what area I specialize in, and the answer has never fit neatly into one neighborhood or ZIP code.

I grew up here. I’ve lived here all of my life. And over the years, my business has taken me all over the Portland Metropolitan Area—from Columbia County and the west side to Portland, Lake Oswego, Sherwood, Happy Valley, Gresham and plenty of places in between.

And that matters for more than knowing how to get from Point A to Point B.

I’ve built relationships with lenders, inspectors, contractors, title & escrow, cleaners, stagers, photographers and other professionals throughout the area. So when something comes up during a transaction—and something always comes up I have people I can call.

I also love that working across the metro gives me a broader view of our market. What buyers are responding to in one area, how pricing is behaving in another, and where opportunities may be showing up.

So no, I don’t limit my clients to one little circle on a map.

My backyard is a pretty big one. 💙

I hear this every year: “Maybe we’ll just wait until spring.”

And sometimes waiting absolutely makes sense. Buying a home should happen when you’re ready—not because someone tells you that you need to hurry.

But there’s another side of the conversation that buyers sometimes overlook.

Spring traditionally brings more inventory, but it can also bring more buyers. More competition. More multiple-offer situations. And potentially less negotiating power.

A quieter fall market can mean fewer homes to choose from, but it can also create opportunities to take your time, negotiate and find a seller who is ready to put something together.

There is no universally “perfect” time to buy.
