Any communication involving the movement of funds deserves careful attention.

A message claiming that wire or payment instructions have changed doesn't necessarily mean fraud, but an unexpected change can be a strong reason to pause and verify before taking action.

Before sending funds, follow the verification procedures provided by your title or escrow company. When confirming a request, use known, trusted contact information rather than relying on contact information provided in electronic communications.
