Just Sold!

This one came together in a fun, full-circle way — my wife connected me with the buyer after they connected online. She was planning a move to Portland from Chicago, which is where we are originally from…and her girls landed at the same school as our daughter. Portland can feel like a big small town sometimes!

She was relocating across the country with her family, and this home made the landing quite smooth. Beautifully redone with great landscaping, a remodeled kitchen and bathroom, a new patio, and new metal fencing outside, plus additional newer systems throughout.

And with other kids right in the neighborhood, this move should feel like home in no time.

Congratulations to this sweet family — so glad you found your spot. I’m excited that our girls will get to know each other at school, as well! 🙌

My client reached out from Arizona ready to trade triple-digit summers for mild Portland weather. The plan going in was a quiet retirement community a little further out — but as she was looking, we found a great fit in Beaverton with no stairs, everything on one level, and being close enough to walk to a coffee, groceries and dinner.

This one checked all the boxes. Ground-floor corner condo, 2 bed / 2 bath, single level. The fireplace in the living room and covered patio didn’t hurt either. Progress Ridge TownSquare, New Seasons, restaurants and Progress Lake Park are all right there, as well.

When these two first reached out, he put it pretty simply: he wanted to be able to sit in his own place with a cup of coffee and watch the boats go by.

They have spent years living on the water and sailing, and while that’s not where they’re at anymore - they didn’t want to give up the joy of living near the water and with outstanding water views.

But this one didn’t come easy.
 
A few days before closing on a different home we had under contract, my clients got the call every buyer dreads: the deal fell apart over a last-minute HOA issue the underwriter flagged. And their own home was already under contract to sell. No time to waste — we went into fast-and-furious search mode across Vancouver, Ridgefield, and even out to La Center, trying to find the right fit before the clock ran out.
 
We were running out of time. Renting was starting to look like the most likely option. Then a colleague, showing them a couple of properties while I was tied up, mentioned an upcoming listing he thought might be worth a look.
 
It was the one!
 
This adorable 3-bed, 2-bath bungalow checked almost every box they’d been looking for. Walkable, updated, and a great, fenced outdoor space for their dog - all on a quiet, tree-lined street just minutes from downtown Vancouver, exactly where they wanted to be all along.
 
Though we experienced a few bumps and bruises along the way, it worked out great in the end. Very proud of my clients for hanging in there and getting to the finish line!
