Mylar was initially developed for NASA in the 1950s to protect its space crafts from the sun’s heat. We have covered our south facing windows with these "space blankets" (as we like to call them 😁) to help keep the house cool on these sweltering days. Many car emergency kits and first aid kits have them already- yours might too! (if not regular tarps or blankets will help also-be sure to put them on the outside of the house to keep the heat out, we use painters tape to hold them up) Stay cool everyone 🧡
