✨This weekend was an incredible bookend to a wonderful chapter. I was nominated for an Emmy and got to bring my biggest fan, supporter, and cheerleader as my date: my mom. While I didn’t bring home a statue this year, I was incredibly honored to be nominated, especially in a category with the best of the best. And having my mom by my side was truly the highlight. Ten years ago, I won my first Emmy, and she was there that night too. I love you, Mom. 🤍

✨My newest listing is here and truly feels like a piece of art. 🖼️ From the moment you step inside this elegant midcentury ranch, you feel transported to another time, when days felt slower and the beauty of everyday moments took center stage. 🍃

Originally designed in 1960 by architect Ralph Bonadurer for his own family, this home reflects a thoughtful approach to living, space, and light. Floor-to-ceiling windows in the living room draw natural light and greenery inside, perfectly framing a grand natural stone fireplace.

Set on a spacious lot across from idyllic Reed College, the professionally designed landscaping has been cultivated to create year-round beauty. Each detail has been intentionally curated so something is always in bloom from spring through fall. Lush plantings, grapevines, shrubs, and mature trees surround the home, along with a garden that offers berries, asparagus, plums, and more.

The location is just as special, right in the heart of the beloved Reed neighborhood, known for its midcentury homes and peaceful feel. Just steps away, you’ll find Reed Canyon, a 28-acre natural refuge with walking trails and wildlife.

This storybook home is ready for its next chapter.

✨Some personal news to share ✨

Being part of KGW News has been such an honor. Over the last few years, this team has helped me grow and pushed me in ways I’ve never experienced before. I’m proud of the work we’ve done—and of being part of a mission to tell stories that matter and make a difference in our community.

I’ve worked as a journalist for nearly 20 years, and it’s become part of who I am: curious, questioning, community-driven, and unwilling to accept the status quo. Journalism remains a pillar of our democracy. And the people who work tirelessly to pursue the truth—especially at the local level—are working harder than ever.

The last four years have been incredibly challenging for our family, and I’ve made the difficult decision to step away from news for now. I will miss working in this industry so much but I can’t thank enough the people who gave me opportunities to grow, pushed me to be better, and inspired me with their passion for truth and storytelling. Thank you to everyone who trusted me to tell their stories, and to the viewers who welcomed me into your homes.

We’re better when we’re informed, engaged, and willing to understand each other. If I’ve learned anything, it’s that we may be more alike than we think—and we’d know that if we took the time to learn. I hope we keep leaning into getting to know our neighbors, even when it’s easier to look away or stick with what’s familiar.

I still have a few more weeks at KGW, and I’ll be soaking it up until then. Thank you for following along and allowing me to be part of your world. 🤍
