🏠 The More Homes on the Market Act (H.R. 1340) has passed the House and now moves to the Senate.

Key provisions:

✅ Raises the capital gains exclusion from **$250,000 to $500,000** for single filers
✅ Raises the exclusion from **$500,000 to $1 million** for married couples
✅ Indexes the exclusion for inflation going forward
✅ Helps seniors and long-time homeowners avoid large tax burdens when selling
✅ Encourages more homes to come onto the market, helping increase housing supply

The current exclusion amounts haven't been updated since 1997, despite dramatic increases in home values.
