Okay, okay... I loved reading all the guesses about what recently sold, but nobody got it right! 😆

🏡 1323 N Corinth Road, Portland, closed yesterday!

One thing I've learned in real estate: there is no such thing as a "typical" transaction.

Every home has a story. Every family has a different situation. Every closing looks a little different.

This sale was part of settling the estate of a loved one. While most people see the photos, marketing, and closing day celebration, there was a lot happening behind the scenes to make sure everything was handled correctly.

The probate and estate training I've completed over the years helped me guide the family through the process, and having an amazing title company partner made all the difference. It wasn't always simple, but because everyone worked together and the family stayed on top of everything, the transaction went smoothly from start to finish.

A few things I can always count on:

✏️ Spelling something wrong and not noticing until the event is over. 🤦‍♀️ “pina colodas” 😂
🖤 Being surrounded by some of the best people around.

So yes, the sign was misspelled. Again. At this point it’s not a mistake—it’s a tradition

But last night’s Island Party at Dash of Dez Boutique was too much fun. The conversations were real, the people were genuine, and the memories were worth every minute of planning.

A huge thank you to everyone who came out and made it such a fun night. Y’all are the reason I keep going all out!! 😘

When your client is so much fun, laid back, and always down for a good time, it makes the whole process even more special.

Melvin showed up to closing and asked, "Do you get a free cooler with closing?" I laughed and said, "Well actually... YOU DO!" 😆

When we first met, he shared a funny story with me that stuck. Why? Because I totally understood exactly what happened! 😂 That story ended up inspiring his closing gift, making it even more personal.

Meeting Melvin reminded me a lot of my dad—funny, goofy, hardworking, and someone who doesn't take life too seriously. We clicked right away. We also had a lot in common, from our family's love of racing to law enforcement.

I'm incredibly thankful for the trust Melvin placed in me to get this home sold, and for allowing me to bring Carolyn Martin on as a co-listing agent throughout the process.

This morning was a busy one for my buyers! The termite inspection and home inspection were completed, and the surveyor is scheduled. While all the inspections were taking place, I took advantage of the covered back porch and got some work done. With the rain falling and the peaceful surroundings, it was the perfect office for the morning. ☔🏡
