Happy Thanksgiving everyone! We're having a relaxing evening with some full stomachs! Maddison was running around all day like a little turkey. It's nice to have a day to slowdown and reflect on all the great things this life has to offer. Never take it for granted.🇺🇸🍻

On September 11, 2001 I was getting ready for our middles schools "outdoor school". I remember watching tv while I was eating breakfast, right before the news cut to commercial is when I saw (along with the rest of the world) the first plane hit. I had to take a double look to see if my mind was playing tricks on me...it wasn't. Not long after as I was at a loss of words the second plane hit tower two, by this time my mother was out with me and not a word was said.
We ended up going to outdoor school and the teachers were crying, they explained to us young students what just happened and it was very hard on everyone, the whole day seemed like a moment of silence.
Many great people lost their lives, and many people (and countries) came together to morn this terrible act of hate.
What I learned from this event was when people stand up together, many heroes will arise. Life is way to short to talk about the bad things in life, always find the light in situations and keep moving forward. There will always be times that people will try to shake you and find weakness, this will be the biggest opportunity for you to shine.
I will never forget this day in history and pray for the many families that lost their heroes.

We're always working on other folks house projects, not to often we put all of our attention on ours!
It's been a process, but it's finally coming together. Hopefully by next week our life will be back to normal, pretty excited to see the final outcome though!
