Portland’s best-kept secret for affordable home ownership is changing July 1st, 2026 — and if you make over $128,300/year, you could lose access completely.

Right now, you can qualify with a household income up to $153,960. That lets you buy a newly built home at way under market value because builders pass their savings directly to you.

But after July 1st? The income limit drops to $128,300.

If you earn more than that and don’t close by the deadline? You lose access. And prices typically jump about $30k.

You need to be in contract within the next ~2 weeks.
