It’s hard to imagine that we don’t get to show houses to Wade and Summer BUT it’s awesome to know we never have to call with bad news again. It’s sad to think about not seeing Summer’s cool outfits or hearing Wade’s dry wit. But it’s awesome knowing they have a rad house and we negotiated some solid repairs. This past week we closed on my dear friend ‘s house, you may remember it when we posted the epic beauty on NE Eugene. The best porch and built ins ever?!?!

This was a really special transaction for me. I helped Maren buy this house 14 years ago?!?! At the time I knew that it was pretty incredible that such a young person was buying a house and that said house was sooooo special but now at my advanced age I really marvel at how impressive the whole situation was and how hard it is for young people these days. Which is why I was reallllly proud that Maren chose to be a seller who focused less on money and more on who would be a good steward of this special house.

Fourteen years ago (see photo bottom right) I met a special human who would become a friend. A person who I am proud to know. A person who made a house a home that was filled with puppies, cats, band practice, parties, music videos (starring my kid), porch hangs, laughter, woodworking, book clubs, fancy dinner parties, tears, love, and so much more. I hope that continues with the new owners.

I also look back and appreciate how much better of a realtor I am today. I feel very fortunate that I have made so many friends in this career and helped to contribute to my beloved community. I hope that I have the opportunity to continue to be part of this wonderful city’s history for a long time.

And most of all I am so thankful for my friend Maren who is one of the smartest, kindest, most talented people I know and I thank you for working with me again and again…and again! 🫂🥰 thank you for being the best person and I hope we’re friends forever because you are beyond special 🩵💚🏡

On this day two years ago The Portland House Hunters became myself ( ) and .silvestri and our beloved Sarah who is not on Instagram but is integral to our team. We let go of some negative energy and it feels like the perfect group. I am proud to say we all get along so well, we all work so hard, care a ton, try our best and lead with kindness. became the best version of ourselves and we celebrate that 🥂

Look at how wonderful and happy Kody and Elaina are about keys to their first house 🥹🥹🥹🥹🥹 it really makes everything worth it to give keys and think about the future of our sweet cute clients in their new home! Kody and Elaina were so great to work with, I laughed so hard every time I showed them houses - cause they’re funny and witty and also we saw some weird houses?!?? It was nice to watch them truly trust their instincts and find their perfect house. Love a split level that is dialed. Sweet Wanda and her fur baby got keys to their new Portland house today! When Wanda first came to us her life was changing in some dramatic ways, empty nest, and getting out of a small town. But this crazy spring market and the wild times of the world had her NOT only NOT being an empty nester BUT also potentially adding her mom to the mix, multigenerational life here we come!!

Now I won’t say that Wanda was the most offers ever written for one client BUT she was up there. For the record the most has been 11 which is hellish and heartbreaking but actually ended up with a great house in a wonderful neighborhood! And same for Wanda!!
