BABY MOUNTAIN GOAT ALERT 😍

On Friday, I climbed above the tree-line on Ape Canyon Trail and paused to take in the panoramic view. 🏔️🗻

Then I heard some rocks moving in the canyon to my right. I watched in awe as mamma mountain goat effortlessly walked down the steep cliff and BABY scurried behind her tucking itself under her and nursing.

If that wasn't precious enough, I saw 9 more mountain goats that day.

When I can say "I saw 12 mountain goats today" it's a good day! 🗻🐐🩷

If you've never hiked Ape Canyon Trail, now is a great time of year to explore it.

~11 miles in and out
~ 1500-2000 elevation gain
