A new listing in West Linn worth slowing the scroll for. šŸ”

Imagine summer evenings on the back patio with the grill going and the golden-hour light sticking around a little longer. Picture Sunday mornings in the kitchen with coffee in hand and zero plans except ā€œmaybe a walk later.ā€

This is the kind of home that makes the everyday stuff feel a little more special.

The quick rundown:
šŸ“ West Linn, OR šŸ›ļø 5 beds / šŸ› 3.5 baths / šŸ“ 5,100 sq ft

Sometimes my job isn’t helping clients say yes, it’s helping them recognize when the answer is no.

The house that looks right on paper, but doesn’t feel right in person. The area that checks the boxes but doesn’t match how they actually live. The offer that’s technically fine but not worth the risk.

A good agent isn’t just there to get you to the finish line.. they’re there to make sure it’s the right finish line.

A lot of this job happens in between the visible parts.

The calls before the calls. The research before the showing. The conversations that happen before a family is anywhere close to ready to make a decision.

I don’t mind that part, that’s where the trust gets built.

I know what it feels like to move somewhere new and wonder if it’ll ever feel like home... it does.

It just takes time, the right areas, and someone who can help you stop guessing and start seeing it clearly.

That’s what I do now.

I help families find that feeling faster.

The in-between moments of this job are some of my favorites.

The random stops, the quick check-ins, the neighborhoods you end up walking through just because a client asked about them.

Real estate is a lot of showing up in person and figuring things out on the ground.

I wouldn’t have it any other way.

Me: I’m actually very easygoing.

Also me every morning when one tiny thing goes wrong before coffee:
absolute emotional collapse for 7-10 business minutes.

I didn’t move to Oregon with certainty...
I moved and figured it out.

I didn’t grow up here. I didn’t know the neighborhoods. I didn’t have a built-in circle.

I was asking the same questions relocating families ask me now.

Where would we actually live?
What areas felt right?
What would daily life look like?

So I spent time learning it.

Driving communities. Exploring different areas. Paying attention to how each place felt... not just on paper, but in person.

Now I help families work through those same decisions. From someone who had to figure it out firsthand.

Most people think the house is the biggest decision... for us, it wasn’t.

When we were exploring this area, what stood out wasn’t a floor plan or a kitchen. It was seeing families outside. Kids riding bikes. People out walking. Neighbors actually knowing each other.

We wanted that kind of everyday life, that outside lifestyle, that feeling of this is where our family would fit.

That’s when we knew.

That’s also how I help my clients now.

I’m paying attention to the little things you may not realize matter yet… the feel of the neighborhood, the pace of the street, the parts of daily life that tell you more than the listing ever will.

I didn’t move here knowing how it would turn out.

I knew I wanted something different. I knew Oregon kept coming up when I thought about what I actually wanted my life to look like.
So I went.

No built-in network. No family nearby. Just a decision and a willingness to figure it out as I went.

Three years later, I can’t picture being anywhere else.

I work with a lot of families who are sitting in that same space right now... Ready for something different, but not quite sure how to make it real yet.

That’s exactly where I started too.

POV: millennial Realtor trying to relate to Gen Z clients.
Me...very casually dropping ā€œno capā€ into a conversation about closing costs.

Them...being too polite to tell me to stop.

Anyway. I found them a great house. We don’t have to talk about the rest. šŸ˜‚
