Death Valley National Park

This one surprised the heck out of me. It’s the hottest place in the world—yesterday hit 101° by noon, and the highest temperature ever recorded here was a wild 134°!

Seeing Badwater Basin was unreal. It’s the lowest point in North America at 282 feet below sea level, and thanks to rare rainfall, we got to see it covered in water instead of the usual salt flats. Honestly, I’d put that right up there with Old Faithful—just amazing.

We also checked out Devil’s Golf Course, Artist’s Palette & drive, and Zabriskie Point—each one totally unique in its own way.

Death Valley definitely exceeded expectations.

*Lil & Milo wanted nothing to do with our road trip so they flew back home. Their loss. 😉

We chose Puerto Vallarta to celebrate some truly pivotal birthdays, and honestly—it was a no brainer. My family has been traveling there for over 40 years, and it’s become our home away from home.
