I met Jillian in what feels like a lifetime ago when she was teaching a bookbinding class as part of my poetry program at the IPRC. I immediately loved her. It was one of those moments where you know you’ve made a friend for life. Luckily, with Jillian, I also got Amy. Both are the brightest, funniest, most creative people- snarky in all the right ways and kind in all the others.
We met up (pre-covid) to talk home buying and set them up on a path to make it happen. Jillian is a freelance artist, Amy works in the music industry…so… then…covid hit…and that was a big wrench in the timeline, to say the least.
They got back on the wagon as soon as they could and we made plans to house hop. They decided to hit up a whopping NINE open houses on a Saturday and then to see the extras and any winners on Sunday together. They ALMOST skipped this house, it’s super close to the freeway and, well, there were quite a few others on the docket to see so they didn’t want to waste precious time on a maybe.
Thank dog they decided to go.
It was better than the photos. Clean, so much natural light, quiet, very well remodeled and checked every box. It had the charm, the space, the yard that they had been hoping for. That and all of the potential for the future sauna, hot tub and art studio of dreams, it was just perf.
They wrote their one and only offer, wait for it, AT LIST PRICE, and got it. Amy and Jillian are do-ers, dream-come-true-ers, so even though it felt too good to be true, we all knew deep down, this was IT. They deserve all the good things and, wow, I am so proud to be the facilitator in one of the many many sweetnesses coming their way. I love you two forever ✨
