Today we had the pleasure of meeting May Pang, legendary girlfriend of John Lennon (and an excellent photographer) At 19, she became John & Yoko’s personal assistant before (with Yoko’s blessing) becoming John’s partner during his time in LA between 1973-74, which became known as his Lost Weekend. She saw him through the recording of two solo albums and lots of mid-70’s merriment.
She was in town this weekend for an exhibition of her personal candids at LAWRENCE GALLERY and we are so glad we stopped by! Didn’t intend to buy anything but were so taken with her shots that we felt we had to take something home. We chose this cheeky polaroid that she titled “Ha…it’s a bunch of sh*te”

Last night I had the pleasure of joining one my clients for a sneak preview dinner of his new Japanese restaurant that is soon to open, Sazanami.
It was a lovely evening experiencing his vision of sustainable and local NW seafood with seasonal ingredients and Japanese technique.

After helping Hajime and his Wife find their new home in Oregon nearly two years ago, it was such a pleasure to finally see him work his magic in the kitchen firsthand as his new venture is about to launch.

Hajime is James Beard award winning sushi Chef, Sake Sommelier, and sustainable seafood advocate (and a great guy) plus an excellent ceramicist - he made all the beautiful pottery used in his service!

Having owned successful restaurants in Seattle and the Detroit suburbs, he has now brought his talents to Beaverton. Sazanami opens next week - book your rezzies!

Highlights from our recent California Adventure. We spent a week between LA and Carmel By-The-Sea for an early anniversary celebration.

With excellent Mexican food, top-notch cocktails, the freshest of local seafood, legendary art galleries, classic rock at the Hollywood Bowl, and stunning beach scenes, we fit a lot in.

So very pleased and relieved for my client to have her home now sold. For her it has been quite the journey. Prior to listing with me, she had this house on the market with another Realtor last summer and it did not go well. Not only did it not sell, they had very few showings; one prospective buyer pulled up and left before even going inside.

While this house has a lot going for it, it does have some challenges. Some houses can feel as though they practically sell themselves but there are also many like this one - homes that need more care and some creativity when marketing, in order for the public to see it in its best light; for prospective buyers to envision themselves there and see the possibilities.

Once I took the reins and reassessed pricing and presentation, it wasn’t long before we found the right buyer to begin this homes’ next chapter.

It’s so rewarding to help homeowners reach their goals - and I’m always up for a challenge.

Closing Day is always a special day but this one really feels triumphant for everyone involved. Through some unexpected twists & turns, it took a team effort to get us here. I’m feeling grateful to have worked with such patient, trusting, and wonderful sellers; along with caring and competent folks on the buyer side and the Title/Escrow Rockstars at Chicago Title that got us past the finish line. 🤘🏁

What a gorgeous weekend ☀️ Its springtime in Portland and a great way to celebrate is with tall glass of something tasty. May I suggest a:
Cherry Pop
- 2oz Gin
- 1oz Lemon Juice
- 1/2oz Maraschino Liqueur
- 1/2oz Simple Syrup
- 3 Fresh Cherries 🍒 (pits removed)
Muddle the cherries and syrup in a shaker, then add the rest. Shake & strain into an ice filled collins glass (pebble ice for extra credit)
Garnish with another cherry and a sprig of mint
