**Summer Heat, Wildfire Season & Power Outage Preparedness**

Dear Residents,

With the recent extreme heat and wildfire activity across Oregon, emergency officials are encouraging everyone to be prepared for the possibility of power outages. More than **400,000 acres have burned** across the state so far this season, and periods of high temperatures can place additional strain on the electrical grid.

**PGE recommends preparing a "Summer Outage Kit"** with essentials such as:

* Flashlights and extra batteries
* Cell phone chargers that can be used in your vehicle
* Bottled water
* Nonperishable food
* Any medications or other important supplies

If you or someone in your household relies on electricity for a medical condition or life-sustaining equipment, please contact **PGE** to enroll in their **Medical Certificate Program**.

To help reduce demand on the electrical grid, utility officials are also asking residents to limit electricity use during **peak hours (5:00–8:00 PM)** by postponing the use of dishwashers, washing machines, dryers, and other high-energy appliances whenever possible.

If your home loses power, **please contact management before setting up a generator.** For everyone's safety, generators **must never be operated inside an apartment, garage, or other enclosed space**, as they can produce deadly carbon monoxide.

🇺🇸 **4th of July Community Reminder** 🇺🇸

Dear Residents,

As we get ready to celebrate Independence Day, we want to wish you a safe and happy holiday!

Please remember that **fireworks of any kind are not permitted anywhere on the property.** This includes sparklers, fountains, firecrackers, bottle rockets, Roman candles, and all other fireworks.

Our office will be **closed Friday, July 3**. If you have a maintenance emergency during the closure, please call our office at **941-214-4202** and leave a message with our emergency answering service. Non-emergency requests will be handled when we reopen.

Today we’re sharing a little extra love across all of our RCM communities. Connie — our OG office legend, owner, and my wonderful mom — is personally hand-delivering a fresh loaf of sourdough to every resident’s door! 🥖

This delicious bread comes from one of our absolute favorite local bakeries, Pokrov Bakery . It’s our small way of saying thank you for being such valued members of our communities. We truly appreciate each and every one of you.

GUESS WHAT TIME IT IS 🤍

It’s time to show some love to the sweet children at Randalls again. Last year, our incredible residents donated so many blankets, and it truly meant the world. We are beyond grateful for the generosity and heart this community continues to show.

Connie and I will be picking up blankets this weekend to prepare for donation, and we would absolutely love to help make an even bigger impact this year.

Lindsay has several drop-off locations available, but if you’d like to donate and can’t make it to one, please let us know — we are more than happy to pick up your blanket and deliver it for you.
