Probate doesn’t mean something went wrong.

In New Hampshire, probate is simply the legal process used to make sure assets are handled correctly after someone passes away. Yet for many families, the word itself creates unnecessary stress.

In reality, homes are often sold during probate — and when the process is understood and guided properly, those sales can be very smooth.

Most of the overwhelm doesn’t come from probate itself.
It comes from not knowing what to expect.
