Leo Xarras, Chairman, Colwen Hotels, honored as an Ally for advancing economic inclusion in hospitality, including the development of the first Marriott hotel in Roxbury on Melnea Cass Boulevard with minority partners Darryl Settles and Kamran Zahedi, and partnering with Roxbury Community College to support workforce training for both current associates and future industry professionals.

We’re excited to share the addition of two iconic York Beach oceanfront properties to the Colwen Hotels portfolio: Ocean Surf at York Beach and Ocean Sands at York Beach, opening for the 2026 season.

Formerly known as York Beach Surf Club and Sea Latch Inn, these properties are being reintroduced under new ownership and management, with a renewed focus on the guest experience and the coastal setting that has made this destination a favorite for generations.

Located along one of Maine’s most beloved stretches of shoreline, Ocean Surf and Ocean Sands offer distinct but complementary stays—each thoughtfully positioned to deliver a refreshed take on York Beach.
