Okay… maybe this is controversial…
But gray everything is officially over. 😂
Gray walls. Gray floors. Gray cabinets. Gray countertops. At one point it felt like every house looked exactly the same.
I’m loving that homes are starting to feel warmer and more personal again — natural wood tones, earthy colors, cozy textures… it just fits the North Idaho vibe so much better.
If you know, you know.

🏫 A little Silver Valley history for you…

The story of John Mullan Elementary goes way back—back to the late 1880s, when a one-room schoolhouse served local children during the area’s growing mining era.

As Mullan grew, so did its schools. By 1892, the community needed a larger school, and in 1895, Mullan School District #392 was officially established.

Then came a pretty incredible investment for a small mountain town: in 1927, Mullan built a multi-story brick school for $56,000, complete with chemistry labs and an auditorium/gym that could seat around 1,000 people!

That historic building still serves Mullan’s junior and senior high school students today, while John Mullan Elementary carries on a tradition of education that’s more than a century old.

I love learning the stories behind our Northern Idaho communities. There’s so much history tucked into these small mountain towns. 🤎
