One of the best parts about living in North Idaho?
You don’t have to “escape” your life every weekend.
People here can finish work and be on the lake, hiking a trail, floating the river, or sitting around a fire with friends within minutes. That balance is something so many people are searching for now.
Living here makes it easier to slow down and actually enjoy where you are instead of constantly waiting for vacation to feel relaxed.
People moving here often don’t realize how much access to nature changes their everyday routine in the best way.

🎢 Before Silverwood had roller coasters… it had airplanes.

I love finding little pieces of North Idaho history like this because some of the places we know best have stories you’d never expect.

The property that would eventually become Silverwood Theme Park started as the Henley Aerodrome in 1973, complete with a private airport and antique airplane museum. After entrepreneur Gary Norton purchased the property, he continued building the aircraft collection—but a devastating hangar fire in 1981 changed its course.

Then came a completely different idea.

A 1915 steam train was added, along with more than three miles of track. And if you have a train…you need somewhere for it to go. 😉

That idea helped inspire Silverwood’s Victorian-style Main Street, and in 1988, Silverwood officially opened as an amusement park.

Airplanes ➡️ steam train ➡️ Main Street ➡️ roller coasters.

Pretty wild, right?

North Idaho has so many stories hiding in plain sight, and this is one of my favorites.

Growth is happening across our area.
New construction is creating more options for buyers — from modern builds to custom homes.
Watching our communities grow while still holding onto their character is pretty incredible.
And Northern Idaho continues to offer something special.

Some of the things that make North Idaho feel like home aren’t the places you’ll find on a sightseeing list. They’re the everyday resources you’re grateful to have nearby when you need them. 🤍

Kootenai Health Pharmacy is one of those local resources.

From prescriptions and over-the-counter products to medication synchronization, automatic refills, pharmacist-filled weekly Medisets, and weekday delivery through the Hayden location, they offer services that can make managing medications a little easier.

Patios, fire pits, decks, and outdoor kitchens have become some of the most loved spaces in a home.
And honestly… in Northern Idaho, it makes perfect sense.
Between the lake days, mountain views, and summer evenings — outdoor living just fits the lifestyle here.
