Happy Friday everyone!
Heres just some helpful tips with this weather we are having! The combination of heavy snow on the ground, frozen ground and a fast thaw means water has to go somewhere and if preventive measures are not taken, it may mean the water goes to your basement or crawl space!

What can one do? Clear the snow away from the foundation. Shovel channels to divert water away from the foundation, especially any low spots. Any keep an eye on the basement!



Is the home vacant? It is absolutely important that owners of vacant homes contact their insurance agents about the status. If the home is vacant the insurance may not cover damage, especially weather related damage.
