Is this something that is of concern to the fishing community? Thoughts?
Valiant Idaho has applied to permit a commercial marina, install riprap and a pedestrian bridge, and to dredge on Lake Pend Oreille, all adjacent to 88 N. Park Road in Hope, Idaho.
A Public Hearing will be conducted by the Office of Administrative Hearings to take testimony regarding the proposed project. An in-person, two-day, public evidentiary hearing is scheduled for October 7 and 8 at Sandpoint High School Auditorium located at 410 S. Division Ave. in Sandpoint, from 5 to 8 p.m. on both days.
The hearing held on October 7 will focus on the application for encroachment and the modifications made since the initial application; the time will then be opened to public comment. Any additional public comment will continue on October 8, if necessary. Written objections or comments regarding this project must be directed to [email protected] and be on file with the Idaho Department of Lands by the public hearing date.
