There’s something about Blanchard that feels unchanged in the best possible way.

The history here goes back to early homesteaders who came to North Idaho willing to work hard and build a life from the ground up. Over time, that turned into a close-knit community built on trust, resilience, and people taking care of each other.

Kidd Island Bay is one of those places that reminds you why people choose North Idaho in the first place.

Quiet water. Room to breathe. A little separation from the noise without giving up convenience.

This part of the lake has a history that goes back generations — steamboats, sawmills, homesteads — and somehow it still holds onto that slower, grounded feel today.

A lot has changed around Lake Coeur d’Alene over the years. Kidd Island Bay still feels protected from most of it.
