My buyers walked into this home and instantly fell in love. A few hours later they called, ready to write a strong offer. It was already late, but after hearing another offer had come in, we were writing contracts at 10:30 that night, determined to give them every chance.
The next morning, while I was at prayer group, I got the call.
We didn’t get it.
I asked the listing agent what could have made the difference—not to argue, but to learn. He shared the winning offer was higher and included the full 60-day rent-back the sellers needed. My clients were heartbroken, but we kept moving forward.
We toured more homes, but nothing compared. Then something unusual happened. We tried to schedule a pre-inspection on another house...and for three days, no one could make it work. That almost never happens.
Then my phone rang.
The first buyers had walked away.
I immediately called my clients, and their excitement said it all. They admitted they’d thought about this house every single day, and every home we toured after that just fell short.
It reminded me that what’s meant for you cannot be taken by someone else. Sometimes the answer isn’t “no”—it’s simply “not yet.”
So grateful my clients are now under contract on the home they truly loved. ❤️🏡
