Beech Street Factory The Beech Street Factory combines affordable apartments with a community arts center to rejuvenate a forgotten Pottstown landmark.

The Beech Street Factory was developed with the historic rehabilitation of the vacant Fecera's Furniture warehouse into a 43 affordable apartments and a community arts center. The vacant Fecera's Furniture warehouse at 341 Beech Street was rehabbed for 43 apartments, lots of resident amenity space, and the 4,000-square-foot new home of ArtFusion, Pottstown's community art school and gallery. The p

roject developers are Housing Visions, a not-for-profit real estate development company based in Upstate New York, and local non-profit, Genesis Housing Corporation, . Together, these two revitalization organizations partnered to turn the empty Fecera's warehouse into a lively cornerstone of the Pottstown arts community. The apartments at the Beech Street Factory were marketed to artists and other qualified tenants. Housing Visions' on-site, full-time Property Manager will perform the following checks on each applicant: 1) Income qualification; 2) Credit check; 3) Criminal background check; 4) In-person interview; 5) Prior landlord interview. In our 20 years of development and property management experience, this process has proven a reliable method for selecting high-quality tenants who will contribute to the building's sense of community and promote neighborhood pride.

Pottstown “Rock the Block” Cleanups, Workshops, & More
April 25, 10 - 2 PM
Ricketts Center, 658 Beech St., Pottstown
Habitat for Humanity, Hobart’s Run, and Pottstown Community Action are joining forces with other community engagement organizations and Edgewood Historic Cemetery to hold a day filled with projects to beautify Pottstown and bring neighbors together. Volunteers may work for a little or as long as they would like. The official “home base” and registration site will be the Ricketts Center, 658 Beech St.; volunteers who want to help with the annual spring cleanup at Edgewood Cemetery , 989 E. High St., may report there directly. There is not a rain date for the Ricketts-based activities but rain date for the cemetery cleanup will be Sunday, April 26, also from 10-2.

***FAMILY BAGS AVAILABLE***

Family bags of shelf stable food will be available tomorrow, Friday, February 24th, from 9 AM to 12:30 PM. Bags can be picked up at 658 Beech Street Ricketts Center. No sign up, paperwork or call ahead needed. Bags are first come first serve. Anyone who is in need is able to receive a bag. Please, one bag per household/family.

Thank you to Pottstown Cluster of Religious Communities for continuously providing food to be distributed throughout the community.

It’s that time again! The Ricketts Center will once again hand out plated dinners for Thanksgiving. Join us on Monday, November 21st, starting at 4 pm. Enter through the gym doors located in the Ricketts parking lot.

Please now that there is a limit on how many meals an individual can take. Please be respectful that we would like for as many people as possible to get a meal. Please do not take more than you need.
