I have a few new listings hitting the market over the next few days, and one of them just happened to be near our friends’ house. So, I loaded up the signs, packed our swimsuits, and turned a work stop into some fun time with my kids.

One thing I’ve learned is that success and motherhood don’t have to compete with each other. Sometimes it looks like answering calls from the car, squeezing in appointments between playdates, or bringing the kids along for the ride.

My biggest piece of advice to any mom who feels like she can’t pursue her goals because she’s a mom: get that idea out of your head. Being a mother doesn’t disqualify you from building a successful career, it gives you even more reasons to go after it.

And for the moms who are already doing it and feeling stretched thin: don’t forget to enjoy this season. The work will always be there, but these moments with our little ones are fleeting. Make the time to be present, make the memories, and celebrate the wins, both at home and in your business.

Today looked like real estate signs, new listings, and pool floats. And honestly, that’s a balance I’m grateful for.

One of the biggest mindset shifts I wish more agents understood is this:

Clients are people, not paychecks.

The moment you walk into a listing appointment thinking, “If I get this listing, my mortgage is paid for two months,” or “This commission could pay off the car,” you’ve already shifted your focus away from service and onto survival.
