Thinking about making a move this year but waiting to see what happens?
You're not alone. A lot of East Tennessee buyers and sellers are wondering if they should hold off until fall or winter.
Here's what I'm seeing locally:
š” Buyers are finally getting more choices than they've had in years. New listings continue to hit the market, giving you more opportunities to find the right home without feeling rushed into the first one available.
š Sellers are still benefiting from one of the busiest seasons of the year. Families wanting to move before school starts, longer daylight hours for showings, and motivated buyers can all work in your favor.
Will waiting until later this year hurt you? Not necessarily.
But if you're hoping for dramatically lower interest rates or significantly better market conditions, most experts aren't expecting major changes in the coming months.
Every situation is different, which is why the best first step is understanding your options and creating a plan that works for your goals.
If a move is on your radar in 2026, let's talk about what's happening in our East Tennessee market and whether now or later makes the most sense for you.
