Morning all! I hope you're doing well in these insanely cold temps we've had. A few things to keep in mind this week/weekend (to be prepared, not scared):
1. IF you park outside, flip your windshield wipers to the upright position. You do not want to destroy those wipers trying to get them unstuck if we get ice/snow/sleet/whatever plague we are doomed for :). Also, if you can find pool noodles still, get some and put those on your wipers. a little added protection from the elements goes a long way.
2. Fill up your gas tank. While I personally discourage driving on snow or ice (some just simply do not know how), you do want to fill up your gas tank. Having a full tank does prevent the fuel pump from freezing. Also, crank that car once or twice a day and let it run for a few minutes.
3. Check on your neighbors please. We do have a handful of elderly residents here so let's make sure they are doing well. I expect we may have some power outages.
4. IF you must work/leave/etc, and can't get back up the hill depending on what kind/amount of bad weather stuff we get, you may park near the entrance, but please try to avoid driveway blocking.
5. Wrap pipes, leave line open (drip is fine) and leave cabinet doors open, especially for lines on external walls. Frozen water pipes are no joke either.

This fur ball showed up at my house in Lexi Landing sub. I cannot keep her here as I have two large and very jealous dogs. No collar. Very sweet and tame.

We live in cate ridge right before you all and wanted to see if anyone missing a tuxedo cat?? He/she just came up on our back porch. Seems very friendly and most definitely someone's house baby! We have him/her inside for the night ❤️

Sunday, March 23, The Sassy Squeeze will be set up from 1pm - 5pm at the top of the neighborhood at Anne Payne and Hugh Willis. They will have lemonade, sweet tea, flavored seltzers, and dole whip soft serve.

Word to the wise 😁
If you got snow covered cars today, clean them off while the snow is still somewhat fluffy, especially the roof of the car. Flip the wipers up so they don't get messed up (if they aren't frozen to the car already).

Trust me on this, I have had my fair share of roof top icebergs come flying at me from other cars that didn't have a majority snow free roof.

If you don't feel you can safely do this, I'm sure we have helpful neighbors that will be more than willing to help

They are brining the roads today. Cate has been done, but it looks subpar. Subdivision will not be treated. Please use your best judgement depending on the road conditions and weather coming up.

if you leave your cars outside, you might want to lift up your wipers so help keep them from freezing to the windshield. Or put pool noodles over them

IF you can't get back up the hill to your house, you may park at the front entrance area but know that there's not enough space for everyone. If the roads are really bad, and you are not used to driving in this type of weather we are expecting, stay home, for your safety.

From a homeowner:

There are 2 dogs running free on Eddie Kimbell. 1 large recently pregnant pitt bull and a French bulldog. Both very friendly but no collars

(Note: I have not seen these dogs myself, but posting for awareness)
