Excited to be back at work now that the “4th trimester” is complete with baby Mateo! Finally getting around to sharing all I did during pregnancy with y’all because posts weren’t on my radar. Servicing my clients is the main priority! Ended up selling this beauty as one the highest price per square foot homes in the area and time frame. It was during the slowest season of year and primary elections. The buyer tried to ask for over $20k during inspections however I negotiated a credit and repair totaling $3,100 instead for my seller! One thing about me is I’m gonna fight for you to get the best deal. Within a week of understanding what Shana was looking for I found this home for her and her family. We put in their first bid in the search process and got it accepted for $10k under list price! Today marks my 10th year as a licensed Realtor! 🎊

I remember when I was just a kid riding along with my Nino and my dad to look for deals and properties. I’d run and get them “information Ellie, information” referring to the marketing pamphlets on the for sale posts. They’d yell, “double door!” when it was a “fancy” one. However, the most impactful memory of this time was when the realtor didn’t believe we had the funds to purchase the home we were touring. If she wouldn’t have profiled us solely for being a minority, and focused on learning more about us instead, she would have realized my Nino at that point already had several income producing properties and was a financially qualified client. That’s when I knew there had to be better people in this industry.

I’m so glad that I’ve come across them. It’s brought me clients who have become my life long friends. Mentors and colleagues who have helped me achieve some goals that, at times, I didn’t believe were possible for me.

I stayed in SF after I graduated at State and worked full time servicing clients in one of the most competitive real estate markets in the world. I took a leap of faith to stay and work a fully commission based job. As daunting as that was, I’m glad I did for many reasons. One being I wouldn’t have met my husband who was also there for work.

Then I wouldn’t have moved to Richmond, Virginia and helped my brother move his family here. Where we all have a much easier standard of life than the hustle and bustle we grew up in.

For these and many, many more reasons real estate is a special part of my life. And I am grateful I get to help others realize the power it has to drive your life on a better course.
