🔵 St. George - New Drainage Resolutions

Formalizing the Jefferson Hwy and Manchac-Fountain projects with Co-op Endeavor Agreements to keep pushing these projects forward. We sometimes forget that the mayor needs to have even just a minor resolutions like these to be able to act and work with state-funded projects within the city. These CEAs do just that.
..And I think I'll continue calling these "Good Morning, St. George" until further notice!

🔵 St. George Council: Jefferson Hwy Widening and Drainage Project Update

We finally have a council action on this project...and it's just a Co-Op Endeavor Agreement 😁

The resolution just allows the Mayor to enter into agreements to keep the project moving forward. This is a STATE-FUNDED project, so no city tax dollars are being used here.

This is the area we've been bobbing and weaving around construction and orange cones for almost 2 years. What's interesting is that only one side of Jefferson is in St. George, the other side is BR.

🔵 St. George - We FINALLY have the August 25th Council vote results published.

Personally I think these need to be published faster, but nonetheless StG has posted the signed ordinances and resolutions. Not surprisingly, several issues we discussed over the past 2 weeks were approved by 6-0 votes. They are:

• Long Farm Revision 7
• St. George rideshare pilot
• New outdoor-storage/display rules
• New variance rules
• Insurance-premium tax amendment
• Updated “disorderly place” ordinance

Long Farm's potential civic/commercial area moves from 3.98 acres to 31.44 acres, with less low/medium-density residential area.

Once in awhile I get asked on showings, “Where does the sun rise and set?” ☀️ I'm usually *very* good at quickly getting my cardinal bearings and being able to figure it out on the fly...but then I found this: ShadeMap.app. Now you can literally scroll through time to see exactly how the shade moves, regardless of the time of year!

How cool is that?
