This was my seventh closing this year, and unfortunately I've noticed a decline in professionalism and competency across many aspects of the transaction process. Jody was the exception.
First and foremost, she was incredibly responsive and actually answered her phone—something that has become increasingly rare. That level of communication made all the difference throughout the transaction.
This was a challenging deal with several obstacles, and Jody played a significant role in bringing everything together. The biggest hurdle was an appraisal that came in lower than it should have. While everyone can make mistakes, I believe the appraiser, Ron Sands, made several errors in his valuation and was unwilling to reconsider or take a second look after those concerns were brought to his attention. As a result, both the buyer's agent and I will be filing a formal complaint.
Despite those unnecessary challenges, Jody remained proactive, communicative, and solution-oriented. She was a true team player who worked collaboratively with everyone involved to find solutions and keep the transaction moving forward. She was absolutely wonderful to work with, and her professionalism, persistence, and positive attitude were instrumental in getting this deal to a successful closing.
I would highly recommend Jody to anyone looking for a knowledgeable, responsive lender who genuinely cares about her clients and works tirelessly to get the job done. I look forward to working with her again on future transactions.
