Recently, at our annual Better Homes & Gardens/BloomTree awards ceremony, I received the dubious honor of being recognized for having completed the “Most Difficult Transaction” in 2023. The list of complications is too long to recount, including financing, repairs to be done, engineering certifications, the need to change the type of financing, another appraisal, the appraiser being on vacation, more certifications, appraisal shortfall, negotiating seller concessions . . . . At one point, I tallied over 350 emails, to say nothing of text messages and endless phone calls. Finally, at closing, the escrow officer declared it to be “the miracle closing.” As they say, “If it were easy, everybody would do it.”

In addition to my regular activity in the residential resale market, I am now part of the sales team at Whispering Canyon, an outstanding, established community of custom and semi-custom homes located northwest of Prescott. We have opened a new section (Phase 6). There are 41 sites with beautiful vistas, including many with views of Granite Mountain. Four basic floor plans range from 2081 to 2557 square feet.
