Yesterday I put up this banner outside our Signet Realty Prineville office as a small way to say thank you to the firefighters and fire crews working so tirelessly to protect our communities and our beautiful Central Oregon forests.

The part that caught me by surprise? While I was hanging it, two wildland firefighters happened to walk by and stopped to thank me.

The truth is, they’re the ones who deserve our thanks. Their courage, sacrifice, and countless hours away from their families are something most of us will never fully understand.

To every firefighter, fire crew member, dispatcher, pilot, support staff member, and volunteer.. thank you for everything you’re doing to protect our homes, our forests, and our communities. We see you, we appreciate you, and we’re rooting for you every step of the way.

Well... we only made #10, but who's counting? 😜

In all seriousness, Prineville was just recognized as one of Oregon's Top 10 Safest Cities for 2026, and I think that's something worth celebrating! 🏡❤️

As a Realtor, people often ask me what it's like to live here. Sure, I can talk about the homes, the views, and the sunshine but what really makes Prineville special is the people. It's the kind of place where neighbors wave, friends show up when you need them, and community still means something.

Could we aim a little higher than #10 next year? Absolutely. 😂 But I'll happily take being on the list!

Happy 4th of July! 🇺🇸❤️

Started the day at the Bend Pet Parade, made my way back to Prineville to check out the vendors in the park, and wrapped up the day deep cleaning and finally pulling out my 4th of July décor. Better late than never, right? 😅
