**** Annual 4th of July Boat Parade is Back! Register Online ***

Um… wow. It’s almost June already. Yikes! But that also means the 4th of July Boat Parade is right around the corner!

Last year’s parade was an amazing event with great participants, an awesome spectator turnout, and fun for everyone. We want to bring that energy back again this year!

The 2026 Boat Parade signup form is now live, and we hope you’ll enter early:

The Prior Lake Association and Knotty Oar Marina are once again excited to bring you one of the most memorable events of the summer. Sign up for a chance at great fun, amazing prizes, and your shot at boat parade glory!

The prizes are as follows:

Grand Prize: $500 (plus trophy)
2nd Place: $250 (plus trophy)
3rd Place: $100 (plus trophy)

PLUS two additional special categories:

Most Patriotic Themed Entry: $250 (plus trophy)
Best Laker Pride Entry: $250 (plus trophy)

On top of the cash and trophy prizes (new this year), you’ll have tons of fun and a chance to create one of the most talked-about boats on the lake — even if just for one day (although people still talk about entries from years past)!

The parade starts at 1:00 PM on the 4th, so sign up today!

We’re still finalizing some remaining details for the 2026 parade and will continue updating the signup form as plans are finalized. Don’t worry — we’ll notify participants of any updates as soon as we have them.

One week before the parade, you’ll receive an email with additional instructions and details for your entry. We REALLY hope you join us this year!

Of course, even BETTER than the cash prizes are the bragging rights for the winners and the unforgettable 4th of July memories made with family and friends by ALL participants.

Everyone loves watching the boat parade on the 4th, and we hope to see your entry out on the lake!

Last year we had 17 participants, including a SKOL theme, a timely Conclave on the water, a Moana theme, an F1 racer, Good Boy (dogs!), numerous patriotic and Laker-themed entries, and many more creative boats that gave the crowd something to cheer for!

Let’s make it another awesome year on the lake for the parade. We can’t wait to see your creativity shine on the 4th!

Phase II of alum treatment on Upper Prior Lake is intended to start May 13.

What can you expect after the treatment?
🌿Expect to see an increase in vegetation. Due to increase water clarity, plant growth is expected to increase in the lake after an alum treatment.
🌿Expect to see a decrease (reduction) in algae blooms. Alum treatments reduce algae blooms, but do not eliminate them.
