In the world of all things AI- of course real estate clients and realtors are using AI. I use it daily. My clients use it.

Story time: I bought these protein waffles for a quick back to school breakfast option with the intention of cramming nutrients in my growing kiddos as best as possible on a busy morning.

Over a slow Sunday morning breakfast I asked AI how these protein waffles compared to Eggo blueberry waffles and to be honest it was a total fail!

It quoted the nutrition “facts” of each product with such confidence that had we not had the box out on the table to see for ourselves, we would’ve 100% believed it.

And here is my plea: Friends, AI is amazing but it is not perfect. We can not take what it says for fact and base large real estate decisions on what it says. Sometimes it’s just blatantly wrong. It hallucinates.

My kids play guessing games in the car with AI. Like “Guess what country I’m thinking of.”

AI: “Is your country in Asia?”

My 12 y/o son: “Yes!” and asked AI a question about it’s country.

AI’s next question: “ Is your country in Africa?”

My 12 y/o son: 🤦‍♂️

It can’t compare waffles, it can’t keep up in a child’s guessing game. It’s not reliable for enough to make decisions about your largest, most important assets. It’s super easy to fool it into saying ridiculous things…

An amazing tool but it’s not there yet.
