Throwback Thursday – Old School Family Vacations 🚗

Remember vacations before smartphones?

You had:
🗺️ paper maps
📸 disposable cameras
🎶 radio stations fading in and out
👧 kids asking “Are we there yet?” every 10 minutes

And the ultimate luxury…

A hotel with a pool. 😄

They weren’t always fancy trips.
But somehow they created the biggest memories.

✨ Question: What was your favorite childhood vacation or road trip memory?

I don’t remember a family vacation trip when I was a kid…but rather trips to Geoga Lake (spelling)…where mom would pack the biggest bowl of fried chicken and we would eat it on the parking lot before going in. Somehow, that chicken was the best!

Why is packing so complicated?

Going away for 3 days somehow requires:

👕 12 outfits (unless your my husband who packs the exact #..my brain can’t comprehend that!)
👟 5 pairs of shoes
🧴 every toiletry you own
💊 a pharmacy-sized “just in case” bag

Meanwhile you come home and realize…

You wore the same comfy outfit twice. 😂

✔ Stop mail/packages or have someone check them

✔ Set lights on timers
✔ Take out the trash (future-you will thank you 🤢😂)
