Our new patio has been a work in progress this summer as we’ve been hosting a guest for the last six weeks! She was so sweet and flexible with us as we made these improvements throughout the duration of her stay.

More on the horizon and pics to follow, but I am obsessed with how it’s coming together. 🤤

One of our most favorite things to do as a family is hangout on the patio. We knew we wanted to create an outdoor gathering space for our guests to relish in the charm of our quaint and quiet little town.

I have a lot of tabs open to elevate this ole concrete slab into a warm and vibrant hideaway for our guests, but I want to hear from YOU before I “checkout.”

Too many things I love, but lighting and ambiance are probably #1 for me.

What elements of a patio do you look forward to the most?

My beautiful friend and incredibly talented artist Michelle Nooney interpreted my vision into this gorgeous Kansas landscape. It couldn’t be more perfect for the space; like it was meant to be here all along. I had it framed by expert Michael Harris in Wichita.

We’ve had this piece ready to hang for weeks now and have only just gotten the chance to get it hung. We’re delighted!

My thought behind this piece was to emulate that you were looking out the window onto the prairie here in the southwest Kansas plains, but in city limits. My vision was depicted perfectly with the key elements that remind me, us, of
H🫶🏻ME.
