Meet our June Pet of the Month, Jojo!
This sweet, shy angel was adopted in June four years ago but his 5 year birthday is this July.
🌚 July dogs like Jojo are mysterious — ruled by the moon, anxiety, and whatever food was left unattended on the coffee table. Deeply shy by nature, they believe direct eye contact is a trap, but possess an unstoppable curiosity that may result in you suddenly discovering a cold nose quietly sniffing your ankle from behind while you pretend not to notice. Their natural talents include: Vanishing the second you acknowledge their presence, Chasing pigeons with the intensity of a Victorian orphan, Telepathically locating unattended cheese, Standing juuuust outside petting distance while desperately wanting affection. Jojo's horoscope predicts: One successful theft of an entire sandwich, Heightened courage during treat-related negotiations, Emotional breakthroughs immediately followed by running away, A spiritually significant pigeon encounter. Everyone meet our May pet of the month, Croissant!

Hi hoomans (and fellow big cats)! I’m Croissant 🥐I was born in the UK and spent my first two years there before flying all the way to the US with my mum—yep, I survived a 7-hour flight like a pro 😌✈️I’m a big fan of freeze-dried chicken, stretching out in the sun, and keeping my fur ✨perfect✨ with lots of grooming. My favourite activity? Waking my mum up in the middle of the night… just because I can 😼I’m super adaptable, I’ve been to parks, explored the outdoors, and honestly? Nothing really fazes me. New places just mean new adventures to sniff out 🐾

Anyway, that’s me—cute, curious, and just a little bit troublesome. Nice to meet you 💛

Meet our April Pet(s) of the month! We're hope they are happy sharing the spotlight ;)

Solo (also known as “Solo Stop Doing That‼”) was born in 2019, during our senior year in college, in the basement of Mary Couts Burnett Library at TCU and given to us by my sociology professor (thank you, Dr. Thompson). He is full of violence, can open and close doors and cabinets, loves committing crimes, hates wet food, and enjoys classical music.
His sister, Kow (“Kow Spit That Out!”), was born in a junkyard in Delaware in 2022 and came to us soon after, in Baltimore, while we were finishing graduate school at Hopkins. Despite her involvement in the writing of my thesis (blocking the computer screen), Kow is still working on forming her very first thought (any day now). She adores chewing on plastic, thinks the wonderful maintenance men are going to kill her, and loves sliced deli turkey.
They are perfect, and last week, they broke our printer.

Meet our March Pet of the Month!

Panda is a five-year-old Border Collie who traveled more than twenty hours by plane from China to start her Providence adventure. She is a trained service dog and sensitive to emotions and sounds. At home, she’s calm and quiet (no barking!), but outside she’s all sunshine and wagging tail. She loves meeting new friends and believes every human deserves at least one enthusiastic greeting. Belly rubs are always welcome. Extremely intelligent and eager to learn, Panda understands nearly one hundred words in both Chinese and English — and she’s currently expanding her English vocabulary. She especially loves playing frisbee.

Meet our February 2026 Pet of the Month! And what a story he has ;)

Meet Silvio aka Mr. Sil. A professional napper, elite treat enthusiast, and full-time living teddy bear, his story began with a daring prison escape. Sil, who was born in Bridgewater State Prison, was rescued by the Animal Rescue League of Boston after spending 3 nights on top of a 40 ft fence while making his break for freedom. He lost half his tail but otherwise recovered against the odds and quickly earned a reputation for both resilience and charm.

Now living in Providence, Sil takes his name from Silvio Dante of The Sopranos — a fitting tribute for a cat with presence, loyalty, and unmistakable gravitas. His days are spent supervising the city from the window, tracking birds and squirrels, and settling in beside his favorite human to watch sports. He's particularly excited for the upcoming Super Bowl and hopes to be able to cheer on the Patriots. Gentle, affectionate, and endlessly comforting, Silvio proves that legends don’t fade — they just trade razor wire for window seats and spend their glory days exactly where they belong: on the couch

Meet our January 2026 pet of the month!

Master Jedi is a 7-lb, 10-month-old Yorkiepoo from Pennsylvania, now a Providence pup. He’s very sweet, loving, and blessed to have found his forever home. He spends his days zooming from room to room like he owns the place, supervising his parents all the time 😉😉 and adding just the right amount of dramatic Yorkiepoo attitude between naps, toys, sudden bursts of energy, and a whole lot of personality. 🐶 ❤️
