We’re grateful to see this year’s Commercial Observer Power 100 feature our Gilbane leadership—Ed Broderick, James Patchett, and Adam Jelen.

As Ed shared in the article, it starts with “our clients…[and] providing end-to-end solutions in very specific markets.” That approach continues to shape the work happening across Gilbane and reflects the strength of our partnerships, the trust of our clients, and the dedication of teams delivering impactful projects in communities across the country.

We celebrated the groundbreaking of The Villages of Hayti in Durham, NC, marking an exciting step forward for affordable housing in one of the city’s most historic communities.

In partnership with Durham Housing Authority, Harmony Housing Affordable Development, and F7 Development, this first phase will bring 252 affordable homes to the historic Hayti neighborhood, transforming the former Fayette Place site into a vibrant community designed for residents and families to thrive.

“The Villages of Hayti is more than just housing: it’s an example of how we can come together to transform vacant, underutilized land into a thriving community for the residents of the Villages,” said Yarojin Robinson, Senior Vice President of Gilbane Development. “This tremendous milestone is a testament to the hard work of many partners, and we are so proud to help deliver truly affordable homes for Durham.”

The development will include one-, two-, and three-bedroom apartments, community gathering spaces, outdoor amenities, and convenient access to transit, employment, and education opportunities, all while honoring the legacy and history of Hayti.
We’re proud to celebrate this milestone alongside our partners and the Durham community as we work together to create lasting impact.

Housing, healing, and hope take center stage at the 2026 Home for Good Gala, hosted by the Center for Urban Community Services (CUCS).

Gilbane Development is proud to support this powerful evening as a sponsor, and to celebrate our own Yarojin Robinson, Sr. V.P. of Affordable & Mixed-Income Housing, who will be honored with the Vanguard Award. Roj's work has consistently pushed forward thoughtful, equitable housing solutions that expand access and opportunity for communities that need it most. His leadership reflects a deep commitment to creating mixed-income and supportive housing that not only meets urgent needs, but helps build long term stability for New Yorkers.

The Home for Good Gala brings together leaders, advocates, and partners who share a common goal: ending homelessness and supporting some of New York City’s most vulnerable residents through housing and comprehensive services. Proceeds from the event directly support CUCS programs that provide life changing care, from mental health services to permanent housing solutions.

Join us in recognizing Roj and supporting this important mission.

The future of student housing at WKU is moving forward.

The $350 million "Elevate WKU" student housing partnership, bringing together Western Kentucky University, Collegiate Housing Foundation, and Gilbane Development, has reached a key milestone, with approvals now in place to move toward financial close.

This transformative P3 initiative will modernize WKU’s residential portfolio through new construction and improvements to existing housing, including a new approximately 1,000-bed residence hall and dining facility planned to break ground in fall 2026.

“Elevate WKU represents the kind of long term, mission aligned public-private partnership we are proud to partner on,” said Geoff Eisenacher, Vice President of Development at Gilbane Development. “At its core, this housing initiative is about students, creating and maintaining modern living learning environments that foster belonging, support student success, and strengthen the Hilltopper experience from a student’s very first day on campus and throughout their academic career.”
