May is Mental Health Awareness Month:
Mental Health Awareness Month is observed in May to promote mental health education and advocacy. The initiative aims to increase awareness about mental health issues and reduce stigma associated with mental illness.
I will be posting to this page various mental health posts in association with my participation in the Distinguished Gentleman's Ride (taking place on May 17th) whose charity partner, Movember, encourages awareness and who oversees and develops mental treatment programs and services.

I ride because, like everyone else, I have family and friends who have suffered with mental health issues or who have been diagnosed and treated for prostate cancer.

For the seventh year in a row and third year as Ride Host, on Sunday the 17th of May 2026, I'll be dressing dapper and riding in The Distinguished Gentleman's Ride with fellow men and women across the globe to raise funds and awareness for prostate cancer and men's mental health. Men die on average 6 years earlier than women and for largely preventable reasons. The number of men that are suffering is growing, and we need to do something about that.
