In response to the drought, many snakes are out in search of food and water, and some have recently been spotted slithering through moist areas such as city parks and yards.

We are resurfacing all areas outlined in yellow at 8am Monday, May 17. The areas won't be ready for cars until 4pm Tuesday, May 18th.

If you leave your car in those areas between those times, they will be towed. If you drive on those areas during that time, you are personally liable for any damages to the surface. Repair cost is a minimum of $750.

UPDATE ON ROAD RESEALING - Rescheduled for July 11 & July 14th:

Bonneville Asphalt has gotten a new shipment of great product, so Canyon Meadow has gotten back on the schedule to have our roads resealed to keep them nice. We will be having the work done on July 11th and July 14th. Here is the schedule breakdown:

JULY 11th: The east end of 1080 S and the south half of Canyon Meadow Drive will be resealed.

JULY14th: The north half of Canyon Meadow Drive, Green Canyon Road, and Canyon Vista Road will be resealed.

Meadow Fork Rd. will not be receiving the resealing because it is a city road and is maintained by the city.

PLEASE REMEMBER:

Please keep your cars off the streets, and make sure any car you need to drive is not in your garage once the sealing begins as you cannot drive on the road for 24 hours once it has been sealed. Please park away from resealed areas and walk to your condos.

Once roads are resealed they will be CLOSED FOR 24 HOURS to allow curing and drying.

It looks like Bonneville received another bad batch of seal coat for today's sealing, so the job has been cancelled until further notice. So sorry for any inconvenience. We will keep you updated once the schedule has been reset.

UPDATE ON ROAD RESEALING - RESCHEDULED:

Bonneville received a bad batch of seal coat from their vendor today. They decided not to apply the inferior product that was delivered, and they have rescheduled the south half of the Canyon Meadow community to be done next Tuesday. The north half will still be done on Thursday of this week as planned. Here is the updated schedule:

JUNE16th: The north half of Canyon Meadow Drive, Green Canyon Road, and Canyon Vista Road will be resealed.

JUNE 21st: The east end of 1080 S, and the south half of Canyon Meadow Drive will be resealed.

Just a heads up, Canyon Meadow Residents. To keep our roads nice, Bonneville Asphalt will be resealing the roads in Canyon Meadow this week starting today. Once roads are resealed they will be CLOSED FOR 24 HOURS to allow curing and drying.

If you've been wondering what was going on at 595 Slate Canyon Road (end of Slate Canyon Drive on the west side), here is the scoop.

A new concrete water tank is being built. This tank is about 40 feet below road level. On June 16th a concrete pour will commence at 4:00 am and will continue through the day for around 14 hours. This will be the floor of the tank. If you want to know more, read the following:

ProBuild Construction Inc is contracted to construct the 4 Million Gallon West Side Tank #2 located at 595 Slate Canyon Dr, Provo UT 84606. It is on the west side of the road, and in an excavated are roughly 40 feet below the road level. This Concrete water tank is designed as post tension AWWA D115 tanks which require the installation of the floor and roof slabs to be done in a monolithic procedure. This is done by pouring the floor (or roof) slab in one single pour with no construction joints. This high end design increases the efficiency of the concrete slab, as it eliminates most cracks that naturally occur in concrete. This design method requires 2 individual monolithic pours (one for the floor, one for the roof). Each pour is estimated at 14 or more hours to pour, grade, and finish each slab, as the length of the pour (1000 yards) requires a longer day to complete.

The floor slab of the 4 MG West Side Tank #2 is projected to be poured on June 16th. If inclement weather, we project to pour within two weeks of this date. The Roof slab is projected to be poured around October 21st. This is an estimated date, and we will notify you of the actual date as it draws closer.

Recycling recycling recycling! Great news residents! If you are opted into city recycling, starting November 1st the recycling cans will be picked up EVERY WEEK with your trash. If you do not currently participate in recycling but would like to, please contact Provo City to have a blue recycling bin dropped off to your unit.
