Since May 2022, Dolly Parton's Imagination Library has provided 147,099 books to children across Pueblo County. Parton’s lifelong commitment to early literacy is reflected each time a family reads one of those stories.

Students and teachers in both Pueblo school districts are now connected to Pueblo City-County Library District (PCCLD) resources through the Library Connect program. The program automatically provides students and teachers with a PCCLD account.

Superintendents of Pueblo School District 60 and Pueblo County School District #70 signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) along with the PCCLD Executive Director Sherri Baca, Thursday at the Robert Hoag Rawlings Public Library, to launch the Library Connect account program.

“Partnering with our local school districts and charter schools to provide student library accounts, and now teacher library accounts, reflects our shared commitment to student success. The public library is an essential extension of the classroom, offering access to trusted information, digital resources, books, technology, and learning opportunities for every student,” PCCLD Executive Director Sherri Baca said.
