The most delicious local pizza is at Ianne's Pizzeria.

The most scenic place to watch the sunset is at Liberty Point in Pueblo West.

The best place to catch a movie is Mesa Drive In Pueblo.

The best place for luxury shopping is probably a 45-minute drive to the Promenade Shops at Briargate in Colorado Springs, but there’s some great shopping at Pueblo Crossing too.

The best value if you want to live near the Mountains is still probably the Colorado City neighborhood.

The best local ice cream is probably Nick's Dairy Creme or Planet Ice Cream.

The most popular local grocery store here is probably King Soopers, but Coloradans love Safeway too.

Yes, it’s hot and dry in the summer, and no, mountain lions are not a daily threat to your survival.

The 2 things I'm asking for Father's Day:

First, a clean truck.

I've been using C&D Detailing for years, and if you've ever met them, you know why. It's a father-son team, they're active in the community, and they'll either take care of your vehicle at their shop or come right to your house or workplace. Good people who do great work.

Second, ice cream.

Not because I need ice cream (okay, maybe I do), but because some of my favorite Father’s Day memories come from Nick's Dairy Creme. Growing up, we’d take my dad to Nick’s for Father’s Day. It became one of those simple family traditions that you don’t realize is special until years later. My dad passed away in 2014, but every time I stop by, those memories come flooding back.

Father's Day gifts get all the attention, but honestly, a clean vehicle, some ice cream, and time with the people I love sound pretty perfect to me. 🤍
